What is the legacy You are leaving for future generations?

I love learning to know amazing people whose journey has led them to invest in the lives of men and women. These are people who know life is hard sometimes, but as they share out of their own stories, they remind people that there is hope.

I want to introduce you to one such woman in my life. I first met her at a time of crisis. Her journey through loss has mentored to me through mine. The Lord has used her over and over to speak hope into my story, particularly in the area of finance, but also in my life's journey.

Her name is Beth Boehr, a certified Financial Counselor and founder of Beyond Budgeting.

The area of finance tends to be a critical concern in most homes and businesses. It is Beth's heart's cry to speak hope into lives and relationships as she helps them be overcomers in this area. It is her passion to help you GO BEYOND Budgeting and plan for your tomorrow today! As I left one job to begin Green Hope Coaching, my husband, Rennie, and I knew we needed help to plan for our financial needs. As a coach, Beth not only helped us get a clear picture of our current financial status, but is helping us plan with vision for our future. Because finances are one of the intense issues in most marriages, I've asked her to share her heart with you in this newsletter!

Did you know that there are times in our lives when everyting we attempt to do will seem to go wrong? God has a purpose for NOT allowing you to be fruitful all the time! Our faith grows stronger when times are tough and when we learn to go to God...through prayer. We learn that the power of prayer will strengthen and stablilize us. As much as we would like, we cannot pray away life's different seasons.

REAL GROWTH requires season of struggle, as well as, seasons of success. When we are going through season of struggle, we realize we can't do this all on our own. We destory our own selfish pride and rely on the one true source, Jesus Christ. We also learn a deeper dependency on God, because sometimes we literally don't know what next step to take or know where the next dollar is coming from. But HE KNOWS!!! Jeremiah 20:11...for I know the plans I have for you, plans NOT to destroy you, plans to give you a future and a hope!!! Also, II Corinthians 3:5 tells us "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves...our sufficiency is from God." We also learn through the struggles humility!

Can you imagine if all our life we only had seasons of success??? We would not be fit to live with most likely. If we never incurred the rainy season in our lives, and only had all sunshine days, we would probably "DRY UP" spiritually, forgetting to draw upon the springs of living water!! God is so wise...HE KNOWS exactly how much sunshine we need and how much rain we need to keep us growing and maturing spiritually.

So remember to HOLD ON- LET GOD WORK. It is not always going to be this way! Sometimes the situation we are facing doesn't call for action. It just calls for patience and trust in God. II Corinthians 4:17 reminds us "Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us". In ways we cannot understand, God is making the circumstances you are in today work for your good.

Remember, it is a mistake to make a permanent descision based on a temporary circumstance or changing emotion.
